Polystyrene is one of the most common and effective ultra-lightweight materials with thermal insulation properties. However, due to its low density, combining it with cement paste is nearly impossible, and separation between them can occur. In the technology used, the E.I.A additive is impregnated with processed raw EPS beads, which allows for complete integration with cement and water, forming a completely homogeneous mortar with thermal insulation properties. Additionally, all dry cement-based mortars from IZOME ROOF include various additives, fibers, and special polymers to modify mortar properties, eliminate potential cracks, and increase adhesion, among other benefits.
