IZOME POLYSTYRENE : Thermal, Acoustic, and Fire
Polystyrene is one of the most common and effective ultra-lightweight materials with thermal insulation properties. However, due to its low density, combining it with cement paste is nearly impossible, and separation between them can occur. In the technology used, the E.I.A additive is impregnated with processed raw EPS beads, which allows for complete integration with cement and water, forming a completely homogeneous mortar with thermal insulation properties. Additionally, all dry cement-based mortars from this company include various additives, fibers, and special polymers to modify mortar properties, eliminate potential cracks, and increase adhesion, among other benefits.

IZOME POLYSTYRENE coating is an ultra-lightweight, ready-to-use dry mortar with very low thermal conductivity. It is made by combining and mixing charged and coated processed EPS beads with cement and special additives. IZOME POLYSTYRENE thermal insulation coating is used for exterior wall systems, insulation between double-layered walls, and ceilings as thermal insulation. The use of this product ensures complete sound sealing and thermal insulation, eliminates thermal bridges, and meets the requirements of Section 19 of the National Building Regulations.
IZOME RFS is a dry mortar similar to IZOME, but with added special polymers that reduce vapor and water permeability, preventing moisture transfer to the interior walls of buildings. This product is recommended for use in humid areas such as the northern and southern regions of the country.

Implementation of IZOME POLYSTYRENE
● It is recommended to use plastering machines with a screw mixer.
● The machine must have a special stator for lightweight plaster with a nozzle having an outlet diameter of 14 mm.
● The entire bag should be mixed with 7 liters of water in the mixer for 3 - 5 min.
● Izome can be applied mechanically by plaster applying machine and manually using a trowel.
● It is recommended to dampen the surface before applying plaster in hot seasons.
● Also, for curing the plaster, similar to cement plaster, recommended start watering 6 hours after application for 7 days.
● For applying plaster on smooth surfaces such as metal beams and columns, the surface must be covered with lath, metal mesh, or plastic mesh to prevent cracking.
